Plastic Injection Moulding

Plastic injection moulding is the most common manufacturing method for creating plastic parts. It is used to create high volumes of the same product, with repeatable high tolerances, minimal scrap losses and little need to finish parts after moulding.

But moulding is also a complex business, with over 18,000 different materials on the market in 1995 available for injection moulding, with over 750 additional materials added each year.

Each material has different properties, so choosing the right polymer, thermoplastic, elastomers or themosets is vital for your project success. Polymers also respond differently to moulding techniques and designs, so the right polymer/mould combination is required. The team at B&C Plastics are highly experienced in the correct polymer selection, undertaking regular additional training on the new polymer advances to ensure they remain at the cutting edge of the plastics industry.

Our plastic injection moulding machines at B&C Plastics have a clamp force tonnage ranging from 25 to 370 tonnes, handling components from 1 gram up to 2kg in weight. This means we can handle just about any plastic injection moulding project.
