Moreton Bay ecoBiz Forum on Sustainability and Circular Economy

Last week, we had the privilege of joining the Moreton Bay ecoBiz Leaders Forum. It was an energising reminder of the power of collaboration, innovation, and shared responsibility.

Our CEO, Royston Kent, spoke about our sustainability journey and the practical steps we have taken to reduce our impact on the planet. Over the past year, we achieved a 26.9% reduction in energy intensity and an 18% reduction in water intensity, earning a 2-Star ecoBiz Partnership for energy and waste.

The real highlight was hearing how other businesses in our sector are starting to seek our guidance on their own waste-reduction and recycled-content pathways. That is the ripple effect we strive for, using our experience to lift the entire industry.

The forum aligned perfectly with National Recycling Week and highlighted incredible initiatives across the region, including the Project Boomerang initiative led by Salvos Stores. Australia’s first automated textile sorting and decontamination solution is the kind of bold thinking that our circular future needs.

A huge thank you to the Business Chamber Queensland and the ecoBiz team for creating a space where ideas genuinely move into action. These conversations matter and they are shaping a more sustainable manufacturing landscape for Queensland.

Cleaner, smarter, and more circular every day.
