We recently welcomed students and tutors from The University of Queensland's School of Chemical Engineering to our Logan facility as part of their Polymer Engineering Industry Program.
Real experience, not a presentation
Instead of a standard presentation, our team shared what we've learned across more than 50 years in plastics manufacturing: the successes, the challenges and how the industry keeps changing.
The visit focused on three areas:
How advanced manufacturing and smart design support more sustainable outcomes.
Why there's no substitute for seeing a working factory in person.
The role of human judgement, critical thinking and practical problem-solving as automation grows.
From polymer selection to finished product
Students saw manufacturing as it really happens, from the factory floor to polymer selection and product application. They learned through direct contact with our people, processes and products rather than simulations or videos.
Bridging study and industry
