SUNDODGZ™, born from the inspiration of J.K. Johnson, who endeavored to revolutionize outdoor experiences for dogs and their owners. Faced with the challenge of finding a suitable beach shelter, the idea evolved into a versatile, portable solution that not only prioritizes the safety and comfort of dogs but also addressed the practical needs of owners. From initial frustration to collaborative innovation, SUNDOGZ™ emerged, offering a comprehensive solution adaptable to various terrains.
THE BRIEF
The B&C Plastics team are proud to have partnered with the SUNDOGZ™ team from the design stage, through product prototyping, testing and machine tooling. The manufacture of the final product with marine quality, UV stabilised composite plastics for strength and durability ensures the form and function fit the design brief.
THE PROCESS
A portable, lightweight product, under 5 kilograms, quickly assembled for dog safety and comfort. It provides short-term tethering, food, and shelter across terrains, with easy installation in pet cafes or dog-friendly workplaces, anchored into wood or concrete.
