TV Personality Jamie Durie Visits B&C Plastics

We were thrilled to welcome Jamie Durie—TV personality, award-winning designer, and passionate environmentalist—to our facility last week for an up-close look at our patented dry recycling process.

Exploring Circular Design in Action

Jamie was especially interested in how we recycle contaminated waste streams—like used paint pails—and transform them into high-quality, commercially viable products. We discussed how circular manufacturing must start with design, and how products should be created with their end-of-life in mind.

At B&C, our Design Department plays a critical role in this. We don't just manufacture—we engineer with purpose. Our process always includes lifecycle thinking, ensuring our products contribute to a sustainable future.

Designing for Possibility

As a designer himself, Jamie took a deep dive into our prototyping and concept development process. He was inspired by the endless possibilities of designing with recycled plastics and was excited about what the future of sustainable product development could hold.

From Waste to Worth

It was a pleasure sharing our mission, our process, and the potential of circular design with someone so passionate about sustainability. Through manufacturing powered by thoughtful design, we continue to prove that recycled doesn’t mean inferior—just the opposite.
