B&C Plastics' Major Overhaul and Investment in Innovation

A New Chapter in Our Continual Improvement Journey

At B&C Plastics, we don’t just talk about continual improvement — we live it. Right now, we’re entering an exciting phase of transformation, laying the foundation for increased productivity, efficiency, and innovation through strategic investments in our manufacturing hub.

What’s Changing?

We’re currently undergoing a major overhaul of our manufacturing operations, and here’s what’s in progress:

  • Central Loading System – streamlining material flow across the factory

  • 5-Tonne Overhead Gantry – enabling safer and more efficient heavy lifting

  • Two New Injection Moulding Machines – with 400t and 230t capacity, en route and arriving soon

  • Three Additional 4/5-Axis Robots – boosting automation and precision

  • Ancillary Machinery Upgrades – to support our growing production demands

These changes are being implemented to increase efficiency, reduce downtime, and future-proof our manufacturing capabilities.

Why This Matters

This upgrade is part of our Continual Improvement Plan, a long-term strategy focused on:

  • Reducing manual handling and labour hours

  • Increasing machine uptime and output

  • Supporting high-volume, high-precision manufacturing

  • Empowering our team with modern tools and technologies

We’re not just investing in machines — we’re investing in people, progress, and potential.

Looking Ahead

While transitions like this can come with short-term challenges, every adjustment we make is aligned with a bigger vision. We're confident these upgrades will:

  • Improve lead times

  • Strengthen product quality

  • Enhance workplace safety

  • Boost environmental performance
