Keeping It Clean — One Beach at a Time
On Tuesday, B&C Plastics Co-Founders Royston Kent and Wendy Kent rolled up their sleeves and joined a beach clean-up at beautiful Bribie Island, Queensland. The event, organised by the Toyota Land Cruiser Club and the Department of Environment, Tourism, Science and Innovation, was hosted by Darren Jew of the Bribie Island National Park Turtle Conservation Project.
Under Darren’s guidance, the team not only collected waste but also gained an insightful history of the island and its precious ecosystem. A huge thank you to Darren — your passion for protecting the environment is truly inspiring.
While Bribie Island is in far better shape than many other beaches (thanks to the ongoing efforts of Rangers, local residents, and respectful visitors), our team still managed to fill half a ute with glass and plastic waste.
At B&C Plastics, initiatives like this are part of our broader commitment to sustainability and community action. It's one way we stay connected to the bigger picture — and give back to the places we care about most.
Special thanks also to Friends of Parks Queensland Incorporated and BIEPA (Bribie Island Environmental Protection Association) for their continued work in preserving this unique environment.
