On Thursday night we were honoured to be invited by Business Chamber Queensland to speak at the August Business Connect Networking Event at The Foyer, 300 Queen Street. Royston Kent and Wendy Kent were interviewed by Cara Westerman (GM Business Sustainability at BCQ) and had the chance to talk about the B&C journey so far and the changes that have been made in the Business in particular over the last 5 years.

Last week we welcomed Karen Gomez (CEO - Paintback) and @John Ferraro (General Manager - Paintback) to our facility. #paintback is an industry-led initiative, founded to responsibly manage the disposal of Australia's paint and packaging. Operating as an independent not-for-profit organisation, Paintback offers a variety of free to drop-off locations across Australia.

Jamie Durie, TV Personality and Passionate Environmentalist paid us a visit on Wednesday to learn more about our patented dry recycling process for recycling contaminated waste / resource streams.

How cool and exciting to host the CCIQ ecoBiz 2022 Leaders Forum last Friday. So many like-minded people, all passionate and genuinely dedicated to making a difference to this planet of ours by reducing waste. Some really interesting things happening in the State of Qld, and we should be proud of what we are doing. Also so much going on in pilot schemes, testing and measuring for the future.

It was our pleasure to welcome Mark Stevens, Managing Director and Peter Davis, Non-executive Director from @Arican Advisory and Capital to our facility in South Brisbane.

We learnt how @Arican Advisory and Capital can assist in B & Cs Defence Industry journey, how Army and CASG are structured, and refining our Defence Strategy to position B&C Plastics as a strategic partner of choice for product development and manufacture for the Australian Defence Force.

Royston Kent our Co-Founder and CEO, was extremely proud to be a part of the Award Winning Project Earth Team at the 2022 Product Stewardship Excellence Awards in Sydney last night!!! Dulux Trade received the Award for "Best Stewardship Outcomes" for their "Project Earth" initiative whereby used paint pales are collected, recycled and used to create new paint pales / roller trays and other paint accessories to retail in their trade stores. A huge congratulations to Mark Taylor and the Dulux Team!!!

On Friday night, something amazing happened!!! We not only were Finalists in the Manufacturing Awards for the Logan Chamber of Commerce Business Distinction Awards 2022, but we were awarded “Business of the Year”. We are so proud and honoured to receive this Award. All of the hard work that our Team has put in (not only this year but preceding years) has been recognised. Without our Team we would not be where we are today and we thank each and every one of them for their efforts and support in making B & C into what it is today. We would like to also thank the Chamber of Commerce for choosing B & C Plastics as Business of the Year. Congratulations to all of the Finalists and Award Winners on the Night of all Nights.
